Touch screen operation
The intuitive touch screen interface provides quick and smooth operation to set and edit the various functions and memories. The 5.5-inch (320 x 128 pixels) screen displays a large, easy-to-see software keyboard, and lets you quickly enter alphanumeric characters. The screen responds naturally to touch allowing you to easily change settings, input frequencies and edit memory channels.
DV / DV Dualwatch
The ID-5100A has simultaneous reception of FM/FM and FM/DV modes, and the ability to monitor two DV signals. Main band audio takes priority, if two DV signals are coming in at the same time.
Built-in GPS
The ID-5100A has built-in GPS, which allows you to transmit and receive location data from the built-in GPS receiver. Attitude, course, speed and altitude are displayed on the screen. Use GPS location information to exchange location reports, track GPS history, and find nearby repeater locations. The GPS antenna is located at the far head, no external GPS antenna is required.
Bluetooth® and Android™ app available
Install the UT-133A Bluetooth® board and download the RS-MS1A (Android™ app) to enable you to connect wirelessly to the ID-5100A, set remote DR functions, link to the Maps application, and send/receive messages via DV mode.
